Sole F80 After Market Motor Control Board - (2006 - 2015)

Question

Q: I have a F80 treadmill that stops suddenly while using. I've checked the speed sensor and It's OK. The motor seems fine. I plan on replacing the circuit board. My information: Model: F80, Date code: 2011.4Q, Manufactured Inc. Jonesboro, AR. 72402, bar code: 5808101111052668. The circuit board on your website (2006 - 2011) looks a little different than the one I have. Is this correct?

Q: Hi Im looking for a control board replacement for a 2009 sole f80. Would this board work? why is is priced lower than the other one on the site? Does it use that same mounting screws?

Q: We recently purchased, order date 1/22/2024, order number #84127 an after market-next gen controller. After installing, it has been difficult to calibrate. It also gets very hot and smells after operating the treadmill for a few minutes. I have followed torque adjustment instructions and re-calibrated each time. Speed up and down time is slow and sporadic. Thank you, Phillip Seagraves

Q: I purchased this item in January 2024. Now getting an LS1 Low Speed error. Belt doesn’t move at all. After troubleshooting it seems error is located in circuit board. Does this item have a warranty?

Q: I have a 2011 Sole F80. Powering on does not cause an issue, and no error messages are displayed But pressing ‘start’ now consistently trips the breaker on the unit or on my breaker panel. If I remove the safety key, and then press start, nothing happens (no breaker breaker). The same issue of tripping the breaker still occurs if I manually advance the motor a few rotations, or even when I disconnect the motor leads. So I don’t believe it’s a motor amperage drawing issue. I’m inclined to replace the main board or the transformer, but I don’t see any visible components burnt out on the main board or signs of damage on the transformer. Any thoughts on where to begin? Thank you!

Hi Dave, I don't believe your problem is with the mother board. Seeing that your treadmill is 12 years old, you need to consider a few things. Have you ever changed your belt and deck before? If not, I'd start there. It sounds like a friction issue. Motherboards are typically black and white. They either work 100% or don't work at all. But to answer your question, this is not the same board as your original. The original was discontinued and this is the Next Gen alternative. Hence the the name above.

A: Yes it would work. Its cheaper because its an aftermarket and the other one is an OEM. Yes it uses the same mounting screws.

Hi Phillip,
I am going to assume you bought this to replace your old controller that died (burnt)? So unless if you take care of what caused your last board to burn, this board will also burn. You are clearly drawing high amperage. On a treadmill that gets frequent use, the belt should be replace at about every 3 to 4 years. Seeing that this is a 2006 to 2015 controller, at best your belt is about 10 years old.

A: This controller has a 35 days warranty. I highly recommend you do a motor test to rule out your drive motor.

A: Hi Nate,
I am 99.99% there is a short on your circuit / mother board. Every time I've come across this issue its 100% been the mother board. Most of the time the transformer is fine.
