The Sole® SB700 Indoor Cycle Right Crank Arm is the primary, drive-side mechanical lever arm connecting your right foot pedal to the central crank axle spindle. Built to withstand high-torque, out-of-the-saddle climbing intervals and heavy residential or light-commercial spin workouts, this solid metal arm transfers your downward leg force directly to the flywheel belt pulley.
If your right pedal feels loose, wobbles under load, or begins making a loud clicking noise on every downward stroke, the internal threads or spindle interface on your right crank arm have typically stripped or suffered a structural alignment failure.

Replacing a stripped or damaged right crank arm takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes using basic tools (including a metric socket wrench, a standard pedal wrench, and a specialized crank puller tool):
Using a standard 15mm pedal wrench or flat wrench, turn the right pedal axle counter-clockwise to unthread and remove it from the stripped crank arm.
Pry off the plastic dust cap covering the center of the crank arm. Use a socket wrench to unscrew and remove the high-torque metric hex bolt securing the crank arm to the central axle spindle.
Thread a universal bicycle crank puller tool into the center threads of the crank arm. Tighten the puller's inner bolt to push against the axle spindle, smoothly sliding the old, stubborn crank arm completely off the splines.
Clean any debris from the axle spindle splines. Push your new Replacement Right Crank Arm onto the axle, ensuring it points exactly 180 degrees opposite to the left crank arm. Re-thread and torque the metric center bolt firmly, replace the dust cap, and thread the right pedal securely back into place (clockwise).
Critical Maintenance Advisory: Pedals must be tightened extremely tight inside a new crank arm before your first ride. If a pedal is installed loosely, the hardened steel threads of the pedal axle will rapidly grind down and destroy the softer metal threads of the new aluminum crank arm, stripping it out within just a few pedal strokes. Always apply a dab of grease to the threads and torque the pedal down securely.
